My name is Trinity, and I am the owner and photographer behind Treebird Photography in Wilmington, North Carolina.
This session is of a sweet elopement that was full of beauty and charm. Katelyn and Allen decided to have their ceremony at Greenfield Lake, and I am so excited that I was not only their photographer, but also one of their witnesses! I am still giddy at the thought, since this was my first time ever being an official witness!
Their intimate ceremony was gorgeous! The weather showed us very minimal signs of rain, but as soon as I pulled up to Greenfield Lake, the rain clouds showed up and the rained showered over our cars. Allen and I sat in our cars for a good 30 minutes before the rain clouds dissipated. It wasn’t long after that Katelyn arrived, and the two of them saw each other for the first time in their wedding attire. They had seen each other for the first time in six months the day prior, as Allen is in the military. The ceremony was truly inspiring and only once did we have to break to grab umbrellas. ;)
We had a wonderful time capturing their first moments as husband and wife in the park and in downtown Wilmington. This time was bittersweet for them both, as Allen was only here for three short days. They won’t be reunited for another three months, but I am so happy they will have these photos to reflect on until that day comes.
