This sweet, sun-kissed boudoir session took place in the early morning while the lighting was dreamy and the grass dewy. Courtney is about as adventurous as they come and that was a pleasant surprise! I consider myself to be pretty adventurous, however at times I was finding Courtney trying to convince me to walk through the murky waters for the perfect shot (although it took little convincing). When shooting, I try my best to make my clients feel comfortable, relaxed, and encourage them to just be themselves. This is especially challenging with boudoir sessions, and outdoor boudoir sessions, at that. I do this by relating to them, understanding how awkward they are probably feeling, reassuring them, and providing guidance when directing them on posing. After Courtney’s session she said, “I thought I was going to be nervous, but I didn’t even get nervous once.” To me, that was the biggest compliment and it’s always a top priority.
