This family was so full love and joy. They made my job so incredibly easy.

I always have my clients complete a detailed questionnaire before our time together so I can learn more about the family and be aware of their wants and desires for our session. When I received this particular session questionnaire back from the mother, my heart skipped a little beat as I was reading her words and my eyes filled with tears. I knew right away this family session was going to be magical. When asked to describe her “must have” images, she stated, “I once read an article by a woman who called her home a “love note to my family.” I’ve thought of our home that way ever since. I’d love to have images that capture both our family and the home that is so special to us.”

There truly is nothing more beautiful than having your family session at home. There are so many unique corners of your home – even if you don’t think there are. I’m not talking about photogenic corners or corners that are perfectly decorated……I’m talking about those corners where your love for each other oozes through and through. Maybe it’s the living room where you all gather together for movie night and snuggles on the couch. Maybe it’s your children’s bedrooms where all of their favorite toys and blankies live. Whatever stage you are at in life right now, there are corners of your home that tell you story WAY better than any random field or local park can.

I’m a film  photographer  based  out  of  Raleigh,  NC  and  specialize  in  lifestyle  family  and  newborn  photography.  My favorite part of any session is to capture those real and raw moments of the everyday, especially  those  between  a  mother  and  her  children. I am  drawn  to  beautiful  light  and  fun pops  of  color.
