In-home newborn lifestyle sessions are some of my favorites because of how calm and relaxed they are. As the mom from this session explained to me, “I loved that we didn’t have to rush or leave our home. A newborn’s schedule is so unpredictable and, as a new mom, it’s easy to get overwhelmed. By having it in our home we were much more at ease.”
I love this mom’s style and how she decorated the nursery, from the hot pink and orange touches to the gold foil print to the anchor “no wake zone” sign on the door. The wooden block with the baby’s name and birth info was gifted by a friend and she painted the letters on the wall. I made sure to document these details that were important to her.
Her advice to expecting parents that are thinking about an upcoming newborn session when their little one arrives is to relax. “The baby is going to look beautiful and perfect as they are no matter how you feel or look! In our photos I see us both looking tired, but that is how you are supposed to look as new parents and it will always remind me of those crazy yet magical first days.”
