The Redwood National Forest is the home to the tallest tree species on Earth. An engagement session in this old-growth forest had been something I was longing to capture for years. I was thrilled to find the perfect couple and to be able to document their love for each other in this truly unique and majestic setting. The 133,000 acre forest holds fond childhood memories for me. Camping in the “magic forest” with my family, just knowing that at any moment I would see something from fairy tale stories. These amazing trees can only be found one place on Earth, which happens to be an hour drive from my home town through the windy mountain roads of Southern Oregon, over the border into the northern coast of California.
Christina and David are originally from my home state of Oregon, but now live in Honolulu, Hawaii. Their wedding will take place in Ashland, Oregon in August. Here is a short video with a behind the scenes look at the shoot: vimeo.com/84539149
