Lavender Fig Photography
Session Location: Napa, CA
Hannah and I have been “insta-friends” for about a year now. We had the opportunity it meet up together in Napa, CA so we could finally meet together in real life. We took our families on quite the adventure to get to the location of the shoot. We hiked up a steep hill in our best outfits, with all our camera gear, and our kids and husbands in tow. The views were well worth the amount of work it took to get there though. The biggest challenge though wasn’t the hike, it was the green color cast created from shooting in a lush environment with no sunlight. I worked through this unique challenge in post processing and am so happy with the results. The images are a mix of film and digital and they complement each other quite well.
I started my business three years ago after having my first child. I wanted a way to document his milestones and our adventures as a family. I quickly became obsessed with everything photography related and started asking my friends and family to model for me. Once I started posting the images I took onto my social media accounts, I started getting inquires and Lavender Fig Photography was born. Since then I have poured my heart and soul into my work and have enjoyed every moment of it. I would consider my style to be clean, classic, light, and filled to the brim with authentic love. I primarily shoot families and newborns but am also working towards getting into a little bit of editorial and advertising work for local businesses.
