A photograph allows us to relive a wonderful thing that happened once, but I believe it can also serve as a reminder that wonderful things happen every single day. This philosophy has driven me toward a style that focuses on the quiet, subtle, less significant moments. I hope to inspire my subjects to be present in their lives, because when those moments are acknowledged they’re no longer insignificant.
I’m a portrait and wedding photographer in Southeast Alaska where it rains about 80 inches a year. If I had to reschedule all of my sessions because of the weather I’d never get to shoot! It was supposed to be dry during this maternity session, but when we arrived at the location it was pouring and windy. My wonderful clients were brave and adventurous, so we weathered the weather.
