I consider myself a true Canadian, even though I live in America. I was born in Toronto and, although my family and I moved to the States 13 years ago, I still return to Canada fairly often. This past November, I was able to spend some time with my family in Niagara Falls – which, by the way, is one of the most beautiful places on this planet. It is by far one of my favorite cities to visit, which says a lot because I love to travel! I was fortunate enough to spend some time with my cousin, Bronte, while visiting with the rest of my family. Bronte is going to one of Canada’s most prestigious universities right in the heart of Toronto, which makes me so jealous! She’s majoring in graphic design and minoring in photography, which is SO cool! She’s going to be schooling ME in photography by the time she graduates (probably before that, if we’re being honest)! This brings us to a long-story-made-short of my background as a photog. I started my business back in 2009 as a way to hone my creativity and as a distraction from my husband’s year-long deployment. I really didn’t expect it to take off right away, but it did! It’s crazy how fast word spreads in smaller cities. I taught myself completely and since then I’ve been mentoring other photographers all over North Carolina as well as a few other states.

This is very beautiful. Love all these images, so natural and endearing. The scenery is just fantastic and the subject very professional and beautiful. Great job.

  3. These are so great – love the richness in the colors and creative perspective!

  4. I love these! What lens was used?

Wow, these photos completely stopped me in my tracks with how gorgeous they are. Incredible. I took a look at your post on how you post process, but would it be possible to go into more detail on the steps in your custom boost? How specifically you boost contrast and color and sharpen? Suggested strengths, how far you move sliders, etc? Many thanks for the inspiration!
