I am in love with people and always have been. Photography, too. As a child I used to dress my brothers up, steal my parents’ Polaroid and conduct my own little sessions in the backyard. As I hit middle school age, I never ever left the house without a disposable camera in my bag. Years later I met my husband who bought me my first DSLR and encouraged me to learn everything about it that I could. After shooting in auto only and not getting the images I wanted, I got discouraged and tucked my camera away. Four years and a newborn later, I was suddenly determined to learn that same dang camera — no going back. Best decision ever.
My goal everyday is to recognize beauty in simplicity. I like to capture authentic emotion and people as they are, imperfections and all. While I really do love lifestyle photography, working one-on-one with a client has been tugging at my heart strings recently. I feel like it gives me a chance to connect and figure out what really makes them who they are.
Fellow photographer Jackie Willome & I collaborated on this particular session. This is our ridiculously pretty Hungarian model Timea.
