I have been taking photos since I was 17, when my parent’s bought me an old Olympus OM-1 for Christmas. I was immediately hooked. I draw inspiration predominately from nature, but I’m also inspired by music and late night coffee dates with my husband. For this particular session I wanted to evoke a sense of freedom, whimsy, and romance. I made a wreath out of real flowers for my model and, although my original intent had been for her to float in the water, Mother Nature had chosen that day of all days to send the temperatures careening into the upper 50’s, so we played it safe and my model was a real champ – she pulled through and we got some beautiful shots as a result.
