Caroline Madsen Photography
Great Falls, MT
My name is Caroline Madsen and I am a mostly self taught natural light photographer in Great Falls, Montana. I have loved photography since I was a teenager, growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area in the 80s, plastering fashion spreads and advertisements from W Magazine all over my bedroom walls. I went on to work in the fashion industry in Milan, Italy and then lived in Paris, France before meeting my husband and settling down to start a family in Montana. I opened my business in July of 2011 shooting couples, families, children, and the occasional newborn, but soon found that my true love and passion is to photograph high school seniors. I love their youthful energy and excitement for the future. My goal is to capture authentic expressions and show each of my seniors how unique and beautiful they are. In my free time, I love to play tennis, travel, and enjoy the Montana outdoors!
Lauren lives on a farm in rural Montana that has been in her family for 100 years. Her senior session took place around the old outbuildings on that very farm where her relatives homesteaded in 1914. At one point during our shoot, Lauren had to move a tractor for us to get just the right shot, and it wouldn’t be unusual to find her driving a combine in the wheat fields during summer harvest either. We had a blast at her senior session while keeping our eyes peeled for rattle snakes!
